Walk into our Bob’s Discount Furniture store at Desert Crossing and you’ll find an array of high-quality mattresses and living room sofas, but with Bob’s, there’s more than meets the eye. Take a look around and you’ll see our in-store café featuring on-the-house gourmet coffee and ice cream. Inside these cafés, you’ll also notice a Little Bob accepting donations for Bob’s Café Collections for a Cause. These donations are matched and donated to various nonprofits like Autism Speaks and Operation Homefront.
Our in-house donation stations are just one of the ways we give back to our surrounding communities. Through the Bob’s Outreach program and the Bob’s Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation, we also donate $2.75 million to charity and $100,000 to schools annually.
These donations support the mission Bob Kaufman had when he opened his first store in Newington, Connecticut in 1991: Provide unmatched value with integrity and honesty and without an ounce of insincerity. Since that first store was opened, we’ve opened more than 120 stores throughout the U.S., but our goal remains the same.
